Terms & Conditions

1. Who you are contracting with

FormStride ("FormStride", "we", "us", "our") is operated by Saku Linnankoski, a sole trader. By creating an account or using FormStride, you ("you", "user") are entering into a binding agreement with us.

2. Acceptance

By accessing or continuing to use FormStride, you confirm that you accept these Terms and agree to comply with them. If you do not agree, you must not use the service. You confirm that you are of legal age in your jurisdiction and, if acting on behalf of an organization, that you are authorised to bind it.

3. The service

FormStride is an AI-assisted running form, stride, and gait analysis tool. You upload a video of yourself running and the service computes biomechanical metrics and generates coaching guidance. Pose detection runs in your browser; only computed metrics and a single still frame are stored.

FormStride provides educational guidance only. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical, diagnostic, physiotherapy, or injury-treatment advice. Always consult a qualified professional for health concerns.

4. Your account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the service for any unlawful, fraudulent, harmful, or abusive purpose;
  • upload content you do not have the right to use, or content depicting other individuals without their consent;
  • infringe any intellectual property, privacy, or other rights;
  • introduce malware, attempt to probe, scan, or breach the security of the service;
  • scrape, copy, or resell the service or its outputs;
  • reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code, except as permitted by law;
  • circumvent usage limits, plan restrictions, or other technical controls.

6. Intellectual property

FormStride, including its software, models, branding, and documentation, is owned by Saku Linnankoski and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service within the plan you have selected. You retain all rights to the videos and content you supply; you grant us a limited licence to process that content solely to provide the service to you.

7. AI outputs and accuracy

Coaching tips, metrics, and any AI-generated outputs may be inaccurate or incomplete. You are responsible for how you act on them. Outputs are not a substitute for professional coaching, medical, or physiotherapy advice. We may filter, restrict, or refuse outputs at our discretion.

8. Plans, payments and refunds

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment, billing, tax, cancellation, and renewal mechanics are governed by the Paddle Buyer Terms.

9. Service availability

We work to keep FormStride available but do not guarantee uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free operation. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time.

10. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms, fail to pay applicable fees, pose a security or fraud risk, or repeatedly or seriously violate our policies. On termination, your right to use the service ends; we may delete your data after a reasonable export window.

11. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising out of or related to these Terms or the service is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, goodwill, or training progress. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, death, or personal injury where such limitation is not permitted by law.

13. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Saku Linnankoski from any claims arising out of your content, your use of the service, or your breach of these Terms.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the service or by email. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Finland. Disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Finland, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection rights in your country of residence.
